Licenced Massage Therapist
Massage therapy has been a part of my life for 11 years. A Texas native, I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in art. I gained extensive experience in the art field through a variety jobs, including experience in art therapy. Later, I found myself more involved in the holistic arts, leading me to obtain my massage therapy license in 1996.
I have seen many of my clients find relief from ailments ranging from chronic pain to muscle injuries. One of the things I have come to realize is that there are many people who have an asymmetrical gait, rather than a symmetrical gait, causing problems with their posture. I am able to help with postural problems using a technique known as myofascial and trigger point therapy, which also addresses muscle injuries and conditions such as fibromyalgia, and old and new injuries.
Other services I provide include cranial sacral therapy, a method that relieves headaches, ADD, Asperger/Autism, and various head injuries. I also hold a certification for Vodder Lymphatic Drainage massage, which helps with edema, or the swelling of the skin due to cancer treatments or other conditions concerning the lymph node system. This aids with pre and post surgery, from plastic surgery to other outpatient surgeries.
I also offer clinical aromatherapy, body wraps for weight loss, prenatal massage, foot reflexology, ear candling, hot stone massage, and acupressure (Jin Shin Jyutsu). All of these services are offered to you because I care about you feeling and looking better. The many years I have practiced massage has made me realize the Hippocratic Oath of “Do not harm.” That is what I follow.
